How does the application process work?
See this page for our step by step application process. Please note that receiving an application does not guarantee a child’s acceptance to our school.
Several additional steps areneeded before an “official acceptance.”
Does your school have certified teachers?
Yes, our teachers all have a minimum bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Our current teacher, Susie Braman, has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
Does your school practice safety policies?
Yes. We take every precaution to secure the safety of your child. These precautions include:
Fire drills, locked doors, outdoor cameras, active shooter drills, inclement weather plans, and
anti bullying training.
Above all, we teach students to respect each other and we celebrate the uniqueness of every child made in God’s image.
What is the teacher student ratio?
While the ratio can vary, in most cases the ratio fluctuates between 5-15 students per teacher. Our school is always below the public school ratios which ensures the maximum attention given to your child’s learning outcomes.
How do your students compare to other schools academically?
Our schools consistently score higher than state and national averages in all academic categories.
Do we accept students from various denominations?
Yes, we do not discriminate with religious backgrounds. We do ask that families comply with expectations as outlined in our handbook.
Are parents informed about student progress or needs?
Yes, parents get regular updates through timely grading, and regular parent/teacher conferences. Parents are informed early on if a student is struggling academically or behaviorally. We understand when parents and teachers work closely together, the child’s success is enhanced.
Is your school Biblically based in its teachings?
Yes–the Bible is our central focus. We have bible-based worships and classes. We further incorporate Biblical lessons in all subjects. You can review our core beliefs on our “What We
Believe” section of our website.
Is classroom management and discipline a priority?
Yes, we understand that students thrive when appropriate classroom boundaries are in place and followed. Our school handbook outlines discipline procedures designed to help students self govern while respecting both the teacher and their fellow students.
What is the cost of tuition?
See this page for further details.
If we have more than one student in the school, is there a discount?
Yes; see this page for more details.
Does the school have expectations for parents?
Yes, we always encourage a close partnership with the school. When a meeting with a teacher is necessary, please schedule a time outside of school hours. Parents have a responsibility to follow the school guidelines as set forth in the school handbook.
Is your school able to provide special education help?
Our school does not have a special education teacher on staff. A student assessment is typically done for each student to determine if any Individualized Education Program (IEP) is needed. Depending on the severity of a learning disability, our school may not be able to
accommodate your child’s needs.
If the parent has a concern with a teacher or staff member, how should they
communicate that?
We encourage parents to bring any issues or concerns to the child’s teacher as a first step. If the issue is unresolved, a meeting can be scheduled with the teacher, principal (teacher and principal may be the same person), and/or School Board Chairman.
Beyond the academic environment, does your school provide extracurricular activities?
Yes, we believe valuable learning can occur outside of the classroom setting. We typically schedule several field trips each year. Our program offers bells, singing, skits, and community service activities throughout the school year.
